MinistriesOutreach: FOOD FOR THOUGHT We support a local grassroots program to provide food for hungry children in our community.
ALTAR GUILD - The Altar Guild prepares the church for worship services, and assists the clergy with other functions. Director: Sandy Groff (775) 883-7345 CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP - Meets at 6pm the second Thursday of each month in the Rectory. Leader: Dr. Deb Cash (775) 887-8846 DAUGHTERS OF THE KING - The Daughters of the King is an Order for laywomen of the Episcopal Church with chapters in the Roman Catholic Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Every daughter pledges herself to a life long program of prayer and service for the spread of Christ's kingdom. The national website is www.dok-national.org/ Contact: Lois Gilbert: (775) 267-4961 EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN - All Women of the parish are ‘automatic’ members, invited to join in a wide variety of service and outreach projects. Meetings are the 3rd Thursday of each month, at 12:00 noon in the Parish Hall. President: Maryellen Waltz HELPING HANDS - This group provides meal preparation for parishioners in times of illness or bereavement. To request meals or volunteer, call the church office (775) 882-1534. HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE - Members prepare the fellowship coffee hours after each service.

LANDMINDS - A gathering of parishoners who share a passion for our historic buildings and grounds, this group supports the maintenance activities of the Jr. Warden and provides for the short and long-term plans for rehabilitation, use, and expansion of our facilities. Lois Johnson,(775) 882-1534 (loisj@stpeterscarsoncity.org) PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY - Meet twice a month to knit prayer shawls. Materials, needles, and instruction are available. Coordinator: Pat Frederick-Perona (775) 267-2703. SUNDAY SCHOOL - Christian education for Adults and Youth at 9:00, child care during the 10:00 service. Coordinator: Pam Ertel USHERS - Aid in seating worshipers and insure orderly reception of Holy Communion.
